Weather in Poland is getting better and warmer with these days and the trees are wearing their most beautiful green leaves. You can also observe that the flowers are in their best shape letting our eyes enjoy their gorgeous colors. How nice it is to just let ourselves being submerged with the beauty of nature when the sun is shining bright? If you are doing your Erasmus Program in Krakow or Wroclaw and want to procrastinate in useful way, this article is your guide through the best parks of these cities.

Parks in Wroclaw

Juliusz Slowacki Park

It is a quiet place inside a busy town where you can enjoy very large green surfaces and some buildings with very interesting architecture (museum of architecture, national museum). It is close to the Old Town Promenade, so it’s a good starting point to visit the city.
How to go to the park:

  • Trams: 2, 4, 1o, 33
  • Buses: 145, 149
  • City bikes: stand at Nowy Targ, Rynek and ul. Wita Stwosza


Japanese Garden

It’s the best park for long walks and the perfect place for a romantic and “saving money” date. The park is opened from April to October and hosts many events like open air concerts. It’s opened every day from 9:00 to 19:00
Entrance fee: Normal ticket: 4zl/ Reduced ticket: 2zl.

Old Town Garden

If you want to see how parks looked like before World War II, you should definitely visit the Old Town Garden, a park that remained authentic to this era. You can also discover a French carrousel and some bird species there

Botanic Garden

If you are interested in seeing uncommon plants and trees, you should have a walk to the botanic garden, which has a special price for the students (5zl instead of 15zl). THis is not only a beautiful place to spend time but lso a great way to learn more about our green friends.

Parks in Krakow

Botanical Garden of the Jagienollian University

it is the oldest botanic garden of Poland and the best
time to visit it is between April and May when you can observe the opening of the gorgeous
magnolias and tulips. Entrance fee for students is 5zl.

If you like adventures and long walks, this is a stunning place to visit with an amazing view on lake. Any part of the day is beautiful there; you either get a chance to seen waking up nature around the lake or a sunset.

Wolski Forest

Being already bummed with lots of homework to do and so much information to remember, your brain does need some rest. It is so relaxing just to go to real nature environment and feel that fresh air in your lungs. The perfect place near Krakow is the Wolski Forest where you can have a long walk listening to the birds singing and the noise of green leaves.
