The Warsaw School of Economics (Szkoła Główna Handlowa or SGH) is the oldest business school in Poland. It is ranked as the best business school in Poland. The Warsaw School of Economics was founded in 1906 as a private school. In 1919 it became a  public institution of higher education. The University offers bachelor, master, doctoral and postgraduate degrees in Polish and English. At SGH study about 15 000 students.

The Library of Warsaw School of Economics is the largest economics library in Poland. At the campus there are over 20 local associations and 100 science clubs, including all the most important international organizations.

The campus is located at the northern edge of the Mokotów district. The main campus building has great location in terms of public transportation. Metro station Pole Mokotowskie is just in front of the building as well as many bus and tram connections. It makes the university easily accessible with almost every part of Warsaw.

The University campus is located in one of the coolest and the largest districts of Warsaw in terms of population. Mokotów is one of the favourite areas amongst citizens of Warsaw. Numerous green areas like for example Mokotów Field Park (Pole Mokotowskie – just 5 minutes walk from the campus), Sea Eye Park and water reservoirs (Czerniakowskie Lake, which is an urban nature reserve). Many small cafes, restaurants, student bars and hyped places are located in the Old part of this district, especially at Plac Zbawiciela (Mecca of all the hipsters in Warsaw). You can easily grab some food between lectures or have a beer with your classmates in the afternoon.

Commuting to SGH is quite easy thanks to closure of metro station. Also you might get here directly by bus or tram from other districts in Warsaw. On this website you can check the most convenient connections. However, if you don’t like to waste time on the public transportation you should search for your apartment in Mokotów or Śródmieście.
